Position Description

Looking for a rewarding part-time leadership opportunity? Join Team Child Care as an Assistant Site Supervisor in our Before & After School Program serving students in Kindergarten through 6th grade in the Hillsborough School District. This is a part-time position that works weekday afternoons during our afterschool program hours, making it an excellent opportunity for educators, college students, retirees, and professionals seeking meaningful part-time employment while making a positive impact in the lives of children. Before care opportunities are also available.

• Assist in ensuring the delivery of a quality before and/or afterschool program that complies with all NJ Office of Licensing and Child Care Division requirements
• Support the Site Supervisor in the daily operation of the program while providing positive leadership and guidance to staff.
• Encourage children's social, emotional, academic, and physical growth through engaging activities and positive interactions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, staff, supervisors, and school personnel through effective communication.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children and staff.
• Attend required staff meetings, supervision meetings and professional development trainings.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associate's degree or CDA certification preferred
• 1 year experience working with children is required
• Supervisory experience is preferred

Hours

• Position is part-time, Monday to Friday
• The hours range from 20-34 depending on the program location
