• Food and Covid Kits distributed within Unity Square Neighborhood
    Through the generosity of International American Supermarkets, Corp. in Piscataway, Unity Square was able to distribute food to its neighborhood of low-income residents.  Unity Square also distributed Coronavirus Care Kits provided by St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick. The care kits include a mask, hand sanitizer, bars of soap and educational literature on Covid-19 in both English and Spanish.  Most neighborhood families are working poor, and have young children.  Unity Square Staff Member Erio Rosario Perales, Healthier Middlesex Consortium Coordinator, Robert LaForgia, and Unity Square Staff Member Hector Perez assist in the distribution of Coronavirus Care Kits provided by St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick. The Healthier Middlesex Consortium is based in St.Peter’s and is jointly funded by St Peter’s and RWJBH. John Thompson, owner of Brunswick Boxing in New Brunswick assists in food distribution via home delivery. Coordinator, Healthier Middlesex Robert LaForgia and Unity Square Staff Member Hector Perez assist in the distribution of Coronavirus Care Kits provided by St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick.
